The lid is held in place by a buckle and two straps which hold the lid securely down. The lid is slightly larger and the whole case is made from real leather and is in good condition for it's age. The case measures 14cm wide, 14.5cm high and 9cm deep. This is made completely out of real leather which was probably once a tanned colour but has since gained a deep chocolate colour due to age. We believe that this case may have been made for the Air Ministry or the RAF because of the AM stamp (see photo).
